Located on a steep, west-facing slope in Hokuto, Yamanashi, this project integrates an atelier and a residence. The design organizes the client's dual requirements for "creation" and "daily life" into three rectangular volumes arranged along the site's topographic contours.

The primary focus of this study lies in the integration of volumetric layering and circulation. By utilizing the structural intersections of the fanned-out volumes as vertical circulation (staircases), the design achieves a rational sectional configuration that eliminates the need for corridors. The resulting movement sequence offers intermittent shifts in spatial proportions and changing views of Mt. Kaikoma, proposing a residential typology specific to sloping terrain.
